Races will be held at the Errington Farmers Market on the field in the Errington Community Park in conjunction with the 50th Annual Hi Neighbour Day celebrations.

Race Information
Racers will compete against constructors of similar age.
There will be 4 categories – Child – Youth – Adult, and Best Decorated.
There are separate prizes for each category.
Bring your ready to race or decorated zucchini to the sign-up tables on the field by 12 noon. The race action will begin at 1pm, after the parade.
Up to 4 zucchini racers from each category will compete in each heat.
Heat Winners will race again until an overall winner is crowned in each category. (ie. Racers must be durable!)
Winners in each heat are those that go farthest.
Racer Rules
Any sized Zucchini can be entered, providing the total width including wheels does not exceed 28cm ( 11 inches) Wheels should be no more than 14cm (5 1/2 inches) in diameter
Axle shafts must go through the zucchini. No external carriage allowed.
No engine or drive system or radio control allowed.
No plumping or adding extra weight to the Racer (other than ‘drivers’ and decoration)
Contestants in the ‘Best Decorated’ category must have functional wheels
Zucchini entries must have been grown in the ‘Greater Errington’ area from Campbell River in the North, to the Malahat summit in the south, to the Pacific Rim in the west and to the Salish Sea in the east.
