September 7 ~ Earth Friendly Features at the Market!

This Saturday, September 7th, in addition to all the fantastic local vendors, the Errington Farmers’ Market will be hosting some great community guests featuring a variety of earth-friendly endeavours.

Lynne and Sandy Gray will host a table for the Arrowsmith Naturalists, and will have lots of useful information about local flora and fauna. Sandy is a serious birder, a long-time organizer of the Christmas bird count  and a valuable resource about local and migratory birds. Lynne is also quite involved in the North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre as a volunteer.

Interested in finding out more about solar power? Lynne’s husband Derek will be hosting a solar power display and will be doing demonstrations of that power in action. Come with your questions and find out more about this sustainable power source!

While you’re visiting these informative community booths and shopping for farm-fresh food, enjoy tasty home-cooked food from the cafe and listen to the powerful music of local musician Bev Finch.

Saturdays are the best day of the week in Errington.  Come out to the Errington Farmers’ Market between 10am and 1pm…and find out why!
