June 22 ~ International Fairy Day

Fantasy, imagination and a little bit of pixie dust come together on June 22nd at the Errington Farmers’ Market in honor of International Fairy Day.

These tiny supernatural creatures have captivated myth and legend across many cultures for generations, and today the wee folk’s stories are perpetuated through animated stories, miniature garden displays, and children’s books. Fairies are closely associated with nature, and it’s fitting that we celebrate them during solstice time, on one of the longest days of the year.

In celebration of International Fairy Day, come to embrace the magic and make your own free fairy house! All ages are welcome to participate from 10am-1pm. There will be an array of all natural, responsibly gathered supplies available and whimsical fairy house builders will be on hand to help.  Backporch Banjo will be making great music on the market stage, tasty food will be available at the market cafe, dozens of local vendors will be offering fresh food and unique artisan products and, as always, the spirit of community will welcome you.

Join us at the Errington Farmers’ Market, set in the magical west coast woods where the woodland fairies dance every day of the year… and where those with a willing imagination can see them.
