It was the summer of 1969. Apollo 11 carried 3 astronauts to land on the moon. Nearly half a million people gathered in love and freedom at Woodstock. The Beatles played their last public performance. The Concorde jet had its first test flight, Pontiac introduced the Firebird Trans Am…
…and Errington celebrated it’s first Hi Neighbour Day!
The years have passed, the community continues to grow and change…but the tradition of Hi Neighbour Day lives on much as it did in the beginning. It’s a celebration of friends, neighbours and community. Come and celebrate with us on August 17th 2019!
THE SCHEDULE:
8:00am – 10am
PANCAKE BREAKFAST in the Hall
Served up by our fine Volunteer Fire Department – pancakes, sausages and all the trimmings. Bring the whole family, bring a friend…and meet our dedicated men and women in blue who volunteer to help us all. The best way to start a great Hi Neighbour Day! Newspaper clippings from 1969 tell that the Fire Department served breakfast back then on the very first Hi Neighbour Day!
